How to keep Zalo messages when you change phones

Zalo keeps messages on your device, so you need a backup before you switch phones.

Steps

1. On the old phone, open Zalo, go to Settings, then Backup and restore.
2. Run a backup and wait until it finishes.
3. On the new phone, log in with the same number.
4. Accept the restore prompt.

Good to know

Back up on Wi-Fi. Photos and files may need Zalo's cloud storage plan to be restored in full.

Menus change between Zalo versions. If a step looks different on your phone, check the Help section inside the Zalo app.
